The "Lady Dior" bag

The bag could have been named the “Princess Dior”…

It got its name from Lady Diana who was offered the Dior leather bag by Bernadette Chirac as she participated to the inauguration of the Cézanne exhibition in Paris in 1995. The princess and her bag became inseparable ever since.

Reinterpreted every season, the cannage design and the incomparable line are characteristic of the bag. It was inspired by the Napoléon III chairs chosen by Christian Dior for its boutique avenue Montaigne.

The "Bar" suit

The "Bar" suit is considered as the most iconic piece of Dior’s 1947 "Corolle" collection, better known as the "New look" collection.

The wasp-waisted and hip-padded design of the suit established a break with the pre war style and ushered a new conception of fashion and elegance.
